Key Ohio Senate Hopefuls Have Signed the Taxpayer Protection Pledge

As new Vice President J.D. Vance prepares to take office, his former U.S. Senate seat is open. Ohio Governor Mike DeWine will soon appoint someone to fill that seat.

Amongst much speculation about who it will be, taxpayers can have confidence most of the top contenders will protect them from tax increases in Washington. That’s because they have signed the Taxpayer Protection Pledge, committing to voters that they will oppose tax hikes, in prior races.

State Senator Matt Dolan, Secretary of State Frank LaRose, and former Ohio GOP Chair Jane Timken have signed while running in the U.S. Senate primary, Vivek Ramaswamy signed the pledge in his run for President, and Rep. Mike Carey is a Congressional pledge signer in the U.S. House.

J.D. Vance also signed the pledge in his successful Senate run.

Whoever is selected, they will join Taxpayer Protection Pledge signer Bernie Moreno in representing the Buckeye State.

Ohioans should feel very optimistic that their Senators will fight for taxpayers as the new Trump administration begins in Washington.
