New Jersey Republican voters delivered a decisive message on June 10: Jack Ciattarelli is their choice to take on Trenton’s tax-and-spend machine. Ciattarelli secured a dominant victory in the GOP primary for governor, winning all 21 New Jersey counties and garnering 67.8% of the vote.
Ciattarelli didn’t just win big; he won as a consistent and principled fiscal conservative. He is a two-time signer of the Taxpayer Protection Pledge, having first signed during his 2021 run, renewing that commitment again for 2025. By signing the Pledge, Ciattarelli makes a clear, written promise to New Jersey taxpayers:
“I will oppose any and all efforts to increase taxes.”
Americans for Tax Reform applaud Ciattarelli for his continued commitment to protecting hardworking New Jersey families from higher taxes and reckless spending, something they are all too familiar with under current Governor Phil Murphy’s administration.
Ciattarelli is eager to curb wasteful spending and enact meaningful tax reform. He promises to cap property taxes as a percentage of a home’s assessed value, enact term limits for state legislators, and create a state government efficiency department, modeled after the Trump administration.
With the general election now set, Ciattarelli will face Democratic nominee Mikie Sherrill, whom he described in his victory speech as “Murphy 2.0.” As New Jersey continues to suffer high property taxes, persistent outmigration, and chronic overspending, voters now have a clear choice between a candidate who puts taxpayers first, and one who doesn’t.
