On Tax Day, I wanted to highlight our recent case study with Speak4 on our efforts to stop a proposed tax hike.
During the debate over the “one big beautiful bill,” early signs suggested some lawmakers were open to raising taxes through proposals like B-SALT. ATR and its allies moved quickly as part of a broader effort to shut that down.
One piece of that effort was a targeted Speak4 campaign. In a short period of time, thousands of messages were sent to key lawmakers, reinforcing a clear message. Tax hikes are off the table.
The result was immediate. Any serious discussion of raising taxes, including B-SALT, disappeared.
That kind of early pressure can make a difference.
