Elaine Parker at ATR's Tax Day Event
On April 14 in the U.S. Capitol building, Job Creators Network Foundation President Elaine Parker highlighted the success of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, also known as the Working Families Tax Cut.
Parker said:
I’m Elaine Parker. I’m with the Job Creators Network. We are the largest small business advocacy organization and we focus on really elevating and being a megaphone for small business owners, fighting for good policies that help Main Street. And of course, at the top of this list is tax cuts always. We were instrumental back in the day in getting the TCJA over the finish line and expanding it and of course making it permanent in the one big beautiful bill that was passed last year.
We did that by activating our small business advocates to connect the dots between tax cuts and higher wages, increased jobs, and how that improves Main Street America. Through our small business owners, our events, and our media, we have explained how the provisions in last year’s Republican tax cuts are game changers for Main Street. These include, of course, the one hundred percent immediate expensing for equipment and R&D, and a permanent 20% tax deduction that is used by 26 million small business owners annually and the locked in lower tax rates, of course.
The working family’s tax cuts stopped the largest small business tax increase in history from happening, and JCN is honored to have contributed to its passage and the historic victory for Main Street. We’re continuing to highlight the benefits of the tax bill with groups like ATR and of course, Americans for Prosperity, and we’re currently conducting with them a multi-state tour of competitive districts to highlight the benefits of these tax cuts for ordinary Americans. We’ve already had successful events in Michigan, Iowa, and Pennsylvania, and we’re looking forward to many more.
Please get involved or visit our website at JobCreatorsNetwork.com. You can also go to TaxCutsWork.com. And you can share any tax saving stories that you might have.
Now, I would like to introduce one of our small business advocates to share how these tax cuts are specifically helping her small business. Jenna Aronowitz is the owner of 1920 Tavern in Roswell, Georgia, and a member of Job Creators Network. Please give her a warm welcome.
