I am "friends" w/ Mary Bono Mack on Facebook. Many, many ppl (including me) are posting on her wall; asking her to vote NO on Cap & Trade. Ppl are really upset that she is still undecided. Kathleeen Moroney-- I just wanted to let you know that I relayed your message to her. The Republicans that vote YES on Cap & Trade are going to be very sorry that they did when they are up for re-election. That is my prediction.

Nothing in this bill does anything for the environment. It is nothing but a disguised tax bill and a slush fund for liberal interest groups and corporate welfare to boot. All this does is increase energy costs, creates massive new government bureaucracy, creates new ways to defraud the taxpayers, and distorts the market, and will cost millions of jobs. There is absolutely no plusses to this bill except for companies who will get subsidies for enterprises that cannot make a profit in the free market. No scientist say this would shave a degree off of any imagined global warming.

I work for a company that does materials analysis and we are currently struggling in Western Pennsylvania. This industry is already having significant problems in this changing economy. I believe putting any further strangle holds on the steel, iron, or coal industries in which we rely on will not only have a negative impact on my state, but the country as a whole. Oppose this bill.

The only reason this is so close is 85% of this bill is already going to entitlement programs, that is documented. So 15% will actually go towards our debt and actual "change" in government. We still have a chance to beat it as it has to pass through the Senate! I don't know what the Senate number of the Bill is but we'll have to find out and make sure it doesn't get passed! If it does let me tell you we are doomed! Eg.Environmental Police can come into your home and check it for Energy Efficiency,if it doesn't pass it will have to be brought up to par by a certain date! If not E.police will take over ownership of your home, kick you out on the street or you can go to a Fema camp! That is just part of the hardship that is in that 1300 page Bill! Paul...FYI: Impeachment is a legal proceeding initiated by Congress. It is not a criminal offense adjudicated by private attorneys. Remember when Clinton was impeached? Anyway, Cap-in Trade is an Unconsitutional Bill, and is tantamount to treason! If that isn't enough reason to have Obama impeached, then 'reason' has no place in American Law.
