Daily Media Spotlight--An even more intrusive tax? White House trying to dodge tax increase bullets

If you thought Cap-and-Tax was too-much, get ready for a super nanny-state “by-the-mile” road tax. A tax which will be calculated by a computer in your car, sent to the government, then billed to your front door.
 
President Obama’s staff is working hard to keep him from taking the bullet on breaking his tax pledge for the second time. Obama’s first infraction, signing the cigarette tax hike in the S-CHIP bill, snuck under the radar despite an AP article calling him out for abandoning his promise.
 
This time, the media is well aware that taxing health care benefits will shatter any remnant of Obama’s promise to not raise taxes on those making under $250,000.
